Irises are one of my favorite flowers to paint. I love how they seem to move together as if caught in a breeze, and I wanted this painting to capture that same rhythm and flow across the canvas. Layer by layer, I built up violet, magenta, and green with a palette knife, balancing the intensity of the blooms against the calm of the surrounding foliage.
