When I painted Lake Garda at Night, I wanted to capture the magical atmosphere of this Italian lake after sunset. The boats resting quietly on the water reflect the warm city lights, while the deep blues of the night sky create a sense of calm. I used bold impasto strokes to convey both the movement of the reflections and the richness of the colors.
